The authors summarized the results of the long-term botanical studies in the Bureya River valley, Amurskaya Oblast'. The paper comprises the checklist of vascular plants which includes 922 native and 59 adventive species. Taxonomic, ecological, coenotic and geographical analyses of the native flora of the Bureya River valley revealed that it can be entirely included into the East Asian floristic region and has nemoral forest character with significant participation of the floodplain meadow floristic complex. In total, 87 species listed in the Red Book of the Amurskaya Oblast' (21 of them - from the Red Book of Russia) are found in the area of study. Six species have the status of 1, 37 - status 2; 44 - status 3. The species populations with status 1 (Caldesia reniformis, Taraxacum lineare, Brasenia schreberi, Ottelia alismoides, Saxifraga korshinskii, Aleuritopteris kuhnii) are in the most vulnerable state.
