The article presents the results of the study of lichens, bryophytes and vascular flora and vegetation of Langinskiye Gory - a small mountain system near the Okhotsk town. In the plant cover we found 153 species of lichens, 197 species of bryophytes (including 82 mosses and 111 liverworts) and 228 species of vascular plants. On the basis of statistical models linking the topographic and environmental variables with different types of plant communities, the map of potential vegetation was constructed. Main topographic variables and related environmental factors controlling the modern distribution patterns of vegetation were found. The digital model of vegetation, in contrast to previous models, is characterized by high accuracy in predicting the real plant complexes of both zonal and azonal vegetation, and allows to identify the factors that support the existence of refugia of humidity-dependent and drought-tolerant vegetation. High continentality of regional climate determines the high probability of occurrence of the significant biogeographical boundary between southern Okhotian and Beringian mesic florocoenotic complexes.
