The article is written based on the findings of several expeditions of Botanical Garden FEB RAS jointly with the lnstitte of Biology and Soil Sciences FEB RAS Komarov Botanical Institute RAS, and Sokhondo Biosphere Reserve conducted in the Amur River sources within the framework of the Program of Interdisciplinary Research for Amur River Basin. Our field groups investigated 14 administrative districts of southern Chita Oblast. The paper presents preliminary vegetation regionalization of Dahuria Region and justifies identification of Dahuria as a specific botanical geographical subdivision of Dahuro-Manchzhuria Region. Within the Dahuria, we distinguish 7 provinces: Nercha, Argun, Onon, Khentei, East Mongolia, Khalkha, and Selenga. We list differential species within those provinces and characteristic features of landscape and vegetation. Proposed scheme defines more exactly boundaries of provinces and corrects exising schemes: botanical regionalization of North Central Asia by V.I. Gn1bov (1959), Baikal Siberia by G .A. Peshkova (1985) and floristic zonation included in «Flora of Central Siberia» (1979)
