Silene obscura Worosch. (Caryophyllaceae) as an endemic species of the Sikhote-Alin

Silene obscura (Caryophyllaceae) is a rare endemic species from the Sikhote-Alin mountain range, it locally distributed in Primorye Territory. At present, ten locations of S. obscura are known between the Zerkalnaya River and the Kabaniya River on the eastern macroslope of Sikhote-Alin. The extent of its range from the north-east to the south-west is 370 km. All locations of S. obscura are confined to the coastal zone of Sikhote-Alin. Silene obscura grows on seaside cliffs and stony screes, it refers to xeromesophytes, obligate petrophytes. It has been established that Silene songarica, cited in a number sources for Primorye Territory, does not occur here.
