During observation of natural populations of Microbiota decussata Kom. in the Sikhote-Alin Nature Reserve, a fungus Collibia zonata (Peck) Sacc. was found on the dying microbiota branch. This is a saprotrophic fungus, decomposing the plant debris. It is widely distributed in the east of North America and also occurs on the Korean peninsula and in the Far East of Russia. This is a first finding of this species on the microbiota, and it is a first species of fungi collected from microbiota.
