It has been established that axilllary buds develop into replacement sprouts in the first ten days of June as a result of cutting of above-ground F. camtschatica (Pall.) Maxim. They occupy the basal part of the above-ground region of the monocarpos sprout. New monocarpos shoots from buds of the same age form on rhizomes in the middle part of of June. In the last part of June, replacement sprouts do not form at cutting. However, young renewal buds may develop into shoots, which usually give monocarpos sprouts next spring. The later meadowsweet phytomass is cut, the lesser the nutritious substances in rootstock and renewal buds; this, in turn, shaply decreases the growth of plant metameres. F. camtschatica (Pall.) Maxim. has a high regenerative capacity. Cutting of one-year–old rhizome increments causes to open renewal buds on them. The buds open on one years-old increments not older than 5-7 years.
