Rust fungi of the Far East

As а result of 20 years author investigations of uredinioflora that are carried out along the whole territory of the Soviet Far East, it was found 503 species of rust fungi. Diagnoses of 17 now species, 7 new taxons singled out bу the author and 79 species, first collected in the USSR are given in the paper. This article concerns the regularities of species distribution. The East Asian macrocyclic endemic species prevail in the south, while acyclic circumpolar species predominate in the north and in high mountains where endemic species amounts only to 1-2%. It is noted that floristic composition of rust fungi in high mountains of the Soviet Far East, Europe and Northern America bears resemblance to each other.
