An annotated list of the big-headed flies (Diptera: Pipunculidae) of Iran with notes on the material collected by window traps in Fars province

Annotated list of 54 species from eleven genera and three subfamilies of family Pipunculidae is given.Ten species of big-headed flies have been collected by window traps at three localities in southern Iran. Tomosvaryella israelensis De Meyer, 1995 and T. minuscula (Collin, 1956) are firstly recorded from Iran.
